Blue-gray Gnatcatcher

blue-gray head (plain) and back, white belly and wing edges

male in breeding plumage (bright yellow around eye, breast, black V on throat)
Eastern Bluebird

female (not as bright as male; more gray)

male (deeper blue and orange coloration)
Golden-crowned Kinglet

yellowish-greenish cast, crown not always visible

gold-on-black crown, white/black head striping, wing barring
Indigo Bunting

male in breeding plumage (bright blue, brown wing streaks)
Painted Bunting

male (blue head, red eye-ring, red below, green above)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet

male (showing red crest)

female (drab except for fine wing barring, partial eye-ring)
